Medical Command Each Regiment and Battalion has its own medical detachment and a Staff Surgeon, all of whom report to Medical Command, Nashville. Medical personnel in the TNSG are registered members of the medical profession who have chosen to lend their talents to their communities in case of need. |

51st FORWARD SUPPORT BATTALION (SEP) The 51st FSB is a Forward Support Battalion (SEP) is headquartered in Nashville with Detachments in Nashville and Memphis. The 51st FSB has unique skills that allow them to be “first in” in a State emergency situation. Many thousands of hours have been invested in the training and experience of Detachment personnel. The achievements of the detachment are as many and varied as are the skills and backgrounds of those involved. The FSB detachments are trained in: Communications, Combat Lifesaver, MP Training, ASP Certified, CPR/First Aid. On order, the 51st FSB (SEP), as part of the Tennessee State Guard, deploys as an advance unit to a designated area of Tennessee, provides initial community assessment and on order supports TNSG Regiments in area of operations. |
